Centering CSS Horizontal Menu on Page

I have searched this topic and tried everything suggested in the results that came up. However, I can't center my CSS Menu Writer menu on my page. I added a menu container Div and surrounded the cssmenu code by it. I tried editing the css in the .cssmenu class by adding a margin: 0 auto; - that didn't work. I changed the .cssmenu li class style float: left to display:inline-block; - that didn't work. I have added padding and or margins (margin: 0 0 0 200px;) to the .cssmenu class, but that doesn't work consistently over various browsers.

Surely, there is a way to do this.

Anybody?

Do you have a url where I can view the page where you are trying to do this? I can take a look and offer suggestions.

Sometimes you can just add a <center> tag around the menu.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks, Ray! That worked. I had tried that before, but it didn't work. I changed the float: left; to display:inline-block; and then the align center did the trick.
