Page Access, redirect not working

Page Access, redirect not working

I created a db for webinar users with their email address and set the password to the number of the webinar. Created login/out pages with "Create Security Pages". Login/out works and redirects to the page that needs protecting. But, when I apply the access page manager to the page that needs protecting it no longer redirects to that page after login but stays on the login page. There are several logins ie: regular login is in the nav for accessing shopping cart and user stuff, login for CMS and other admin stuff and login for webinar. I've probably set this all up wrong. The pages are at login.php successful login should go to webinar.php but returns url of login.php?accesscheck=%2Fwebinar.php%3F
rule added: logged into webinar <?php echo $_SESSION['SecurityAssist_id_webinar']; ?> also used <?php echo $_SESSION['SecurityAssist_id']; ?> also tried other rules: login success etc.

Does anyof this make any sense and can you help me sort it out?
