Order table in day of week format

Thread began 10/24/2012 11:49 am by colinlangley441259 | Last modified 10/24/2012 5:38 pm by Jason Byrnes | 490 views | 1 replies |

Order table in day of week format

Im trying to order a table in day of the week format i.e. Monday, Tuesday....

My SQL in the record set is:

SELECT discipline, `day`, `from`, `to`, activity, venue
FROM sessions
WHERE discipline = 'Trampoline'

however this returns the table in alphabetical order which obvioulsy means the days are out of order.

Is there an easy way to change the SQL in the recordset to reorder the table?

the day name needs to be converted to a number, you can use a case statement for that something like:

SELECT discipline, `day`, `from`, `to`, activity, venue, CASE `day`
WHEN 'Monday' THEN 1
WHEN 'Tuesday' THEN 2
WHEN 'Wednesday' THEN 3
WHEN 'Thursday' THEN 4
WHEN 'Friday' THEN 5
WHEN 'Saturday' THEN 6
WHEN 'Sunday' THEN 7
END AS day_nr
FROM sessions
WHERE discipline = 'Trampoline'
