Driving directions are showing on all sites that have the extension

hi

Just checking through some of my clients sites and have noticed the ones with a google map now also show driving directions from a place called Torino to somewhere in the UK.

I always set the option include directions in order to hide the bubble, but it seems I think Google may have changed something??

Any suggestions, all I want to do is hide the bubble from initial view??

in the map js file, find the line that initializes the directions:

directions.load('from: ' + fromAddress.full + ' to: ' + address_0.full);
wagmp_map_1_obj.directions = directions;

and comment it:
//directions.load('from: ' + fromAddress.full + ' to: ' + address_0.full);
//wagmp_map_1_obj.directions = directions;

driving directions showing on all sites

H Jason

I found these 2 lines of code, did what you suggested and now its showing a map in the middle of the US with no push pins.

An example is www.theestateagency.co.uk

Do a search and when the results page shows, select the tab view on map.

Everything was ok until this morning and now on all client websites that have the old Pro Maps version they are showing driving directions from some obscure place to the address that is supposed to show up first. In other words I do not want to have driving directions shown on any map, just the option to have the Address Bubble hidden.

I am thinking though that this might be a Google issue.??

I dont see any driving directions on the map for that page, it is displaying correctly for me.

what browser are you using?

Have you tried clearing the browsers cache.

driving directions showing on all sites

I am using the latest versions of FireFox and Chrome and Version 8 of IE

If you looked at the site within the last 20mins then I have moved on from there and started to replace Pro Maps with the new version (Design Extender)

In FireFox and Chrome I get the following (attached screengrab) map display in IE I get the full width of the map but now NO pushpins.

Note however I am using custom designed pushpins that worked correctly in the old version and the pins are dynamically placed.

Try another search www.theestateagency.co.uk

Just select houses as the property type and click search. Click tab view on map and the result is as the screengrab.

i am currently seeing the following error in the sorce code for your results page:

<b>Warning</b>: include(google_javascript/wagmp_map_2.php) [<a href='plugins/function.include'>function.include</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b>/home/e/s/estateagency/public_html/property_details.php</b> on line <b>194</b><br />

<b>Warning</b>: include() [<a href='plugins/function.include'>function.include</a>]: Failed opening 'google_javascript/wagmp_map_2.php' for inclusion (include_path='.://lib/php') in <b>/home/e/s/estateagency/public_html/property_details.ph

looks like it is referencing files that don't exist on the server.

Suddenly today I also have this problem:
resort.php?VRID=1#mc

It must be a Google thing.

I do not see any directions on the page you have linked to, try clearing your browsers cache.

driving directions showing on all sites

Hi Jason

Yes I know about those errors, the reason being I am setting up the new version in Design Extender. The link below is the result of a property search, click that and then click the View on Map tab. It only shows a small portion of the map in the top left corner, same as in previous file attachment.

property_results.php?propCat=Houses&minBeds=1&maxBeds=3&minPrice=50000&maxPrice=200000&searchbut.x=107&searchbut.y=31

Also john218811 that is exactly how all my clients sites look since yesterday that have the old Pro Maps!!!

There is clearly something not right here!!

Also Jason this link shows another example similar to other poster john218811: charter_information.php showing driving directions on the map from a place called Torino?? PS This fault is under the old version of Pro Maps 1.0.7 I think.
