Inserting a flash movie in HTML editor w/ Data Bridge

I am trying to insert an FLV file using the Flash option/icon in the HTML editor (within Power CMS). When I preview my page live, nothing shows up. After I upload and insert the video, shouldn't something show up in the preview box within my Flash Properties dialog box (general tab)? Nothing is showing up there. I'm leaving the Properties and Advanced settings as default. I must be overlooking something, but I'm not sure what. It's not on a live server yet. I'm working locally as I'm trying to learn the new suite of software. Thanks!

Jason, I can't upload it (says it's an invalid file), but I can play it locally, so it's working...??? It's a FLV file.

to embed flash in your page it needs to be an .swf file

Hi, Jason. I tried using an actual .SWF file, and that isn't working either. This is my code:

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="movie" value="/websailer/files//myvideoplayer.swf" /><embed pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" quality="high" src="/websailer/files//myvideoplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object>

Is anything weird jumping out at you?
