Design extender activation error message

Hi there

Just purchased Super Suite. Having trouble activating design extender - error message & no activation. No typos as activation code copied from download centre. Tried resetting activation codes, same error message.

error message:

While executing timer, following javascript error occured: At line 35 of file "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CS4:configuration:commands:WA_design_extender.htm":
WAsitesculptor_bundle.isVaildSerial is not a function

I'd appreciate someone's help with this ASAP.

Many thanks

Paul

sounds like you may have one of the older stand alone extensions that are a part of Design Extender still installed.

What extensions do you have listed in the extension manager, including version numbers?

Design extender activation errors

Hi Jason

Attached grab files showing error messages.

Still installed on computer in Adobe Utilities are:

Extend Script Toolkit 2 & Extend Script Toolkit CS4.

I don't know if they may be causing the problem?

The only WebAssist extensions I have on the extension manager are the Super Suite ones recently purchased (I uninstalled all the previous versions):

Design Extender 1.1.1
Data Bridge 1.0.8
eCart 5.0.6

There is also a Creative DW Drop Down Menu extension from Extend Studio.

I have just removed Power CMS & Power Store that were previously installed, although not showing on the extension manager. I then uninstalled Design Extender, rebooted the Mac & reinstalled it.

Exactly the same problem as before - can't activate any of the Design Extender functions.

Attached file grabs of error messages.

Desperately need help with this as customers waiting.

Many thanks

Paul

have you tried Deleting the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

Design Extender - still can't activate - please help

Hi Jason

I tried what you suggested but still can't activate Design Extender.

Should I uninstall all the Super Suite programs & then remove the Dreamweaver cache file?

Is there something else I can do to remove any other old files that may be corrupting the activation?

Please can you advise as I urgently need to get this resolved for waiting customers.

Many thanks

Paul

Design Extender activation still won't work

Hi Jason

This is an ongoing issue & we've communicated via Skype on remote link up in the last couple of weeks trying to resolve.

I've now abandoned any attempt to get DE activated on CS4, as when I uninstalled this it will not reinstall (Adobe looking into this).

I have, however, CS3 installed on a Powerbook G4, running OSX 10.4.11 which has been working fine so I've installed & tried to activate DE on there, but I'm still getting Javascript error:

"While executing timer in wa_designextender_ser.htm, a javascript error occurred".

I'm getting desperate to resolve this continuing issue, do you have any other solutions? Or could we organise another remote link up via Skype to see if you can identify the issue & solution?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards

Paul

Hi Jason

Tried to contact you on Skype but ran out of time on Friday. I'll try again later today.

My Skype is: iamthedodder

Below a bit more detail about the problem following your Skype questions last week.

what other extensions are installed?
[04/17/13] webassist.jbyrnes: please provide some more details on the environment
[04/17/13] webassist.jbyrnes: That error sounds like a install order issue
[04/17/13] webassist.jbyrnes: if you let me know what aother extensions are installed, including the version numbers, i can have a better idea of the issue.

[04/19/13] Paul Dodson: Hi Jason, no other dw extensions installed
Previously had power cms installed
This has been uninstalled but there are still some cms folders on the local drive. There is a power cms and wa_cms folder, both in the config folder

Running Mac osx 10.4.11
PowerMac g5

I have tried all of the following, none of which have resolved the issue:

Setting up a new user account on the Mac & installing the extensions on there
Uninstalling & reinstalling the Super Suite extensions in the order you recommend

Again, it's only design extender that won't activate, all the other extensions are fine.

Also there are different error messages when trying to activate design extender through different individual extensions:

When trying to activate through CSS Sculptor, the following error:

"TypeError: WACSS_Bundle.checkSerial is not a function"

When trying to activate with CMS & all the others (apart from below), the following error message:

"While executing timer in WA_DesignExtender_Ser.htm, a JavaScript error occurred"

No errors appear when you try & activate through the Social Media or Build Site plug ins

Hope this helps in advance of our Skype link up.

Regards

Paul
