move to new server broke the gallery

I moved shetek.org to a new server. everything seemed to go OK but none of the photos are showing up. I can log into the admin. I can see all the galleries but with the red x for the photos. I checked the DB connections and they are correct. The db restored OK and I can see it through phpadmin. What are some other files that I may need to upgrade the paths/urls.?

May sound like a silly question, but you did copy the actual images over to the same directory on the new server?

Cheers

I copied the entire website over including all the photos. But why would that matter anyway. The photos are in the DB.

only the image names are in the database, the images themselves are stored in the sites file system.

send a l;ink to your gallery so i can take a look at the problem.

I was able to get the images back and ftp to the proper location. Now I can see all the images in the admin panel but they do not show up on the page or in the preview from the admin panel.

which files can I check/replace to try to solve this issue.

Thanks

This usually happens as a result of file permissions issues.

to fix the problem, make sure that all files and folders under the /galleries folder are set to 755 permissions, you can do this in most FTP clients like filezilla by right clicking on the webassist folder in the file panel and selecting the Set File Permissions option, setting the 755 permission level then selecting the option to apply this to "Recurs into subdirectories" -> "Apply to all files and directories"

Also, edit the admin_gallery/common/properties.php file, change the following code:

php:
$GLOBALS['permissions'] = array(

    'dir' => 0777,
    'file' => 0666
);

to:

php:
$GLOBALS['permissions'] = array(

    'dir' => 0755,
    'file' => 0755
);
