Taxation Questions

Client is probably wrong but I need to get he an answer regardless.

She thinks that if she sells less than $110 worth of merchandise then the tax which she is currently charging 8.625% should be 4.625% (I've never heard of this before) but I need to see if the store has this capability.

Also she is under the impression after speaking with someone from the state that she needs to charge a different tax for every region in New York State. That would basically mean that every zip code in NYS would have to be entered. Also something I've never heard of before. Is this something that can be done? I know you can enter a different tax rule for each State but what is I want to create different taxes for one state?

Thanks... Is you want to call me 516-330-8561 anytime today.

Taxation

Is it possible to set more than one tax rule per state? i.e.: by zip code?

Also, is it possible to make one tax for under a $ amount and another for a total purchase over a $ amount?

No, power store cannot set a different tax rate By Zip Code, not can it set different taxes based on the Total. It can use only 1 tax rate determined by the state.
