SiteAssist and DataAssist: Solution Recipe Files (1,924 KB)

Dear Jason, I am having a look at this recipe I have unlocked the files, but when I try to add a product to the database, it adds it to the Database, but the item doesn't appear in the search. Also how could I change the display to show two columns instead of three in the file products.php ?

I dont follow, what do you mean by:
"but the item doesn't appear in the search"

what is the item that was added, and what are you searching on?

To change the layout of the products page, you use Dreamweaver's design view to modify the layout.

Dear Jason, I added some products - CD's Gear and I created a category called DVD's. I added products via insert products. When I did a search, only one of the products appeared in the search results - any reasons?

what where the search criteria, based on the info you have provided, my only guess is that the other products did not match the criteria you where searching for.

to help troubleshoot, add the following code on the products page after the <body> tag:

php:
<?php echo("SAL: ".$query_limit_WADAitems."<br />"); ?>

this will write the search SQL to the screen, post that back please.

Is this where I insert it - under the grey (non-editable) area - see attached screenshot

ok, so after adding the code, i need you to run a search and report back the SQL that is written to the page.
