Site Import of Product Images

I bought Site Import because I was told by Sales that I could import images from wholesale vendors I due business with to republish those images on my site to resell those products. I did a site import from one of my wholesale vendors but the product images did not come with the site?

Q. What did I do wrong?

Q. How do I import all the jpg, gif, etc images on a site?

Q. Can I import just the jpg, gif, etc. images only?

I thought all the jpg, gif, etc images would come along with the html site page images?

Importing these jpg, gif, etc images, would save me a lot of time if I could import these images. I am not interested in just the sites structure or coding

Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony Di

What is the site you are importing?

When setting up site import, you need to first define a site in dreamweaver, part of defining the site in dreamweaver is to set a local path for the site files, in the import settings, use that same local path for the import directory.

Site Import not working

I've searched the forum and can't find anything that resembles my problem.

I need to pull the product data from Main.aspx?html=home for a website that I'm putting together & I need the product data. I've tried using the site importer & have selected the entirer site. 1000 pages, dynamic pages but it's not retrieving the data. I thought it might be the login but I logged in and the only difference between the 2 views is the pricing info.

Ideally I'd like to provide the login info (username & password) and retrieve all of the product data (including pricing), but if that not possible, I'd like to atleast retrieve the data available to the public.

I'm using Site Importer 3.0.4 & Dreamweaver CS3. I'm not able to retrieve any of the product data & rather than the entire site I'm only seeing 12 files.

Regards,
Jim

Site import wont be able to access the password protected pages.

your site uses .aspx pages, in the import settings dialog make sure to add .aspx to page types list.
