HTML Editor and Server Directories

I want that the user is able to insert images and hyperlinks to documents from a given predefined server directory.

I don't want that the user is able to upload, delete or edit images. He should only be able to choose images and document "as is" from the defined directory.

Uploads will be possible in another way in another area of the site, so i don't need file manager functions in the editor.

It seems i can't work out a proper HTML Editor config.

Can someone point me in the right direction please.

Thanks

This is not possible with the HTML Editor File manager.

The only way to predetermine the selected directory is to enable file upload. the file manager cannot be used without upload being enabled.

Thats bad and force me to use another editor like innovastudios editor.
So i can give administrators the right to upload images and documents on one hand (using data bridge file and image upload extension) and users the right to use the assets but not upload, change or delete assets on the other hand.

I like using webassists extensions for nearly 10 years but some are not flexible enough to be useful.

Choosing an image from a given directory is one of the basic functions of an inline html editor.
You should keep this in mind for the next versions of your extensions.
