Free Tools javascript error

Free Tools javascript error

I didn't see a forum for Free Tools, so I'm listing this here.

I installed free tools and now I get a DW cs5.5 error each time the application loads.

at line 2 of c:\users\sandy\appdata\roaming\adobe\dreamweavercs5.5\en_us\configuration\shared\webassist\preferences\rssupdate.us

WA_getExtensionDir is not defined.

This keeps Dreamweaver from loading correctly and I seem to have more javascript errors in general now.

Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

It sounds like you some of the older stand alone extensions installed along side free tools.

The older extensions use memento which is being removed from the newer ones.

see this thread for details on disabling memento to allow dreamweaver to start:

Jason, I made sure that I uninstalled all of the extensions that I was told to uninstall before I installed Free Tools and I had already disabled memento months ago, prior to this. ???

there are other stand alone extensions that may have Memento in them. The issue is that as a result of complaints about Memento, we are removing it from our newer tools (design Extender, Data Bridge, Free tools, eCart). If you have older stand alone extensions, it may cause the memento RSS conflict you are getting.

to correct the error, you will need to make the changes outlined in the thread i linked to.

I made all of the changes in the thread that you posted, but I'm still getting the same error message.

These are the extensions that I have currently installed. Which one(s) could be causing the javascript error?

free tools
data bridge
cookies toolkit
css menu writer
theme-it
eric meyer's css sculptor
pro maps for google
validation toolkit
site import

As I mentioned, I uninstalled all of the extensions that I was told to prior to installing free tools.

Thanks!

Cookies toollkit and Validation toolkit are included in Data bridge, so are not needed.
