Email Verification Problems

I have a random string being created, I have the email sending, the "Click here to verify your email" link in the email... but when this is clicked it goes to the user-confirm page and always says "Your verification link has expired. Visit your profile page to send a new link."

So then I checked the database and the emailverified is indeed getting changed from 0 to 1, but the user doesn't get access to the specified pages. Which is ok because technically they aren't verified yet (but are according to the data base).

Anywho, when I go to the page to submit a new verification code I get this error:

Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in D:\hosting\9062558\html\v2\userupdate.php on line 161

mysql_select_db($WA_connectionDB, $WA_connection);

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in D:\hosting\9062558\html\v2\userupdate.php on line 166

$MM_editCmd = mysql_query($WA_Sql, $WA_connection) or die(mysql_error());
