How to insert ENUM fields in DataAssist?

I'm having trouble with ENUM fields in DataAssist 3. There does not seem to be an option in Field Settings in the Page wizard for this field type. I chose Radio Group, but the Insert & Update pages do not display the correct value, there are only 2 radio buttons labeled Yes & No, whatever the ENUM values are in the table.

However Results & Detail pages created by the wizard do work with the field.

you need to add a radio button for each ENUM value to the insert page and make sure to set the checked value.

Perhaps it would be best to rather link another table for the ENUM values if using DataAssist, especially if there are more than 2 values. It's a pity one can't re-enter the DA pages wizard to change field settings, validations, add & edit fields, etc. I read in another post that one should save the page design as a preset, then if any changes need to be made, call up the preset in the wizard then edit. Trouble is that any customizations to the code are lost.

Do you have a tutorial on using DA without the page wizard? i.e. constructing your own pages with the DA server behaviors?

Using another table to define the values is a better option.

no there is not a tutorial for creating the pages manually, there is a lot of work that goes on in the wizard, for example adding Spry Validation, Server Validation and the validation error messages, along with adding the Insert, update and delete behaviors.
