pagination

Is this possible?

I've toyed with the installation of power CMS, and I haven't gotten into it too deep. I am still on edge, should use this? ... or spend the time making a custom admin. I would LOVE to use this... i love the ease of it, and how quickly i can have an admin site up and running on a basic site, but i do have some customization...

The client has a news section, and I need to paginate each article. Is this possible?

The news articles would be based on a CMS Template.

see the "Create new pages from PowerCMS templates" tutorial in the Video section of the design Extender support page for more details:

Ok thanks.

I'm starting to get it.

However....

What the client would prefer is the entire news article, with pagination below it. So for example:

==================================

My Special New Title
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vestibulum viverra dictum dignissim. Nam molestie euismod massa sit amet laoreet. Pellentesque orci metus, semper id hendrerit a, commodo sit amet metus. Pellentesque varius porta faucibus. Etiam quis facilisis lacus. Cras est nisl, porta quis dignissim et, porta vel dolor. Nunc rutrum, odio vitae porta adipiscing, nibh neque sagittis leo, id auctor elit dui scelerisque elit.

<<Prev. [1] [2] [3] next>>

==================================

Before I clutter things up with a test, can I pull this off? I see in the video the title is linkable to the article. I really need the pagination linking to the next/prev ... maybe even using the DW recordset paging?

While I'm here, Im guessing I can reuse the blogpost technique for an image gallery?

I'm just looking for a bit of direction and reassurance here. =)

The more I play with this, the more I'm learning, i just hate to run a localhost install and go at something blind, and end up going back to doing several reinstalls before I really accomplish anything.

Thanks

Yes, using Recordset paging you can accomplish this.

On the page that shows the results and the ,link to the details page, set the repeat region to only show one record, and use dreamweaver pagination to move between them.

Dreamweaver pagination wont display page numbers "[1][2][3]" though. for something like that, you would need to use the Tom Muck pagination extension:
recordsetnavigationsuite/
