Power CMS hosting

We will shortly be starting on a site for a primary school which will incorporate Power CMS to allow the teachers to add, edit and delete content on the site.

We have not used Power CMS before and would like confirmation that the following hosting is suitable for this project.

We intend to recommend to the client the UK 1&1 Starter Hosting on a Linux Platform as shown by this link Hosting?

1. It seems to be OK, it's £2.49/month, it has 5GB webspace and one MySQL 5 database (1GB), but just need to be 100% sure before recommending to the client.

2. If the client chooses to source their own hosting, what are the essential requirements.

if it helps at all, I am UK based and use www.swishhosting.co.uk

Its £2.67 a month but you can have multiple dbases and it includes email and great support.

Both Linux an Windows are available

I have multiple PCMS and Gallery installations on their servers and all work very well....

I dont see any reason why the 1 and 1 UK hosting plan would not work, though I have not used it myself.

I have used 1 and 1 US hosting, and not had an issue with Power CMS
