Place holder visibility

When I place a like button inside a div on a static html page I cant see the place holder on the page nor the css for it in the styles panel therfore I cant edit it apart from in the code.

If I place the button on a plain html page (no div) I can see the place holder but no css. This is all in design view of course. The like button shows up when I test in a browser both ways all good.

How can I have the place holder be visible in the div in the html page?

Hi Jason,

That is how it is set by the extension here is the code which I have put inside a dive which is nested in otter divs. If I take it out of the div no change.

<div id="facebook_contact">
<div class="wasocial_facebook_like">
<div id="fb-root"></div>
<script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script>
<fb:like href="http://localhost/water_bottles_online/" send="false" layout="standard" width="300" show_faces="false" action="like" colorscheme="light" font="verdana"></fb:like>
</div>
</div>

the style applied to your div is over riding the style of the like button div.

doesthe div you have the like button in have a class applied to it?

if not, use the same class that the like button div uses

I am a newbie to this but the way I see the code the class is already there ? (second line) This problem exists no matter where in the page I put the like button unless I place it outside the #wrapper - If I have it wron and I think I do if you could direct me as to what and wher it needs to go that would be good - thanks in advance
