Error running eCart on remote server

I will be the first to admit that this may very well be a PICNIC error (Problem in chair, not in computer) since this is the first time I'm using eCart, but I am having an issue in running eCart in PHP/MySQL on a remote webserver.

When I test the cart page on the remote server, if I try to perform any action (update cart, checkout, etc.) I get the following error:
<i>The requested URL /store/<br /><b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected ';', expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or '{' or '$' in <b>/... PATH TO FILES ON SERVER .../WA_eCart/WA_eCart_Definition_PHP.php(118) : eval()'d code</b> on line <b>1</b><br /> was not found on this server.

I was able to figure out that this error is actually occurring within the FORM, inside ACTION field on the Cart page. So the error is being triggered before I click on any button.

Testing page for store: Products_Detail.php

However, when I test the pages locally on my computer, no errors occur, I can update, proceed to checkout, everything working seemingly without issue.

Because this is a bit of a rush project, I was using the Checkout Wizard and the Getting Started Guide, but instead of the tutorial files I was using our website. I am thinking I should back up and work my way through with the tutorial files first, thinking I may have accidentally taken a shortcut and missed a crucial item along the way.

The problem is occurring on your cart.php page in the form tag.

Can you post the form tag code from that page.

Thanks - got it fixed

Thanks for your follow-up, I did get the problem fixed. It was an issue on our end, specifically on how the files were set-up. We had not received any info on the exact products they are going to be selling with the store, and were putting it together based on assumptions, and accordingly, some of the details we needed to provide for eCart weren't within the db.

We restarted from scratch, making sure to better emulate the structure of the tutorial database. Once I had that rebuilt, and rebuilt all the files from scratch, I was able to get the store "working".

Still some other issues I need to address, but I have a grasp on how to approach those.

your add to cart buttons look like they are configured properly. the first thing I would want to check would be the server session management.

use the sessionTes.php page found in this thread:
showpost.php?p=23826&postcount=2

upload this to your server to test the servers session management. If the test fails, you will need to contact the host to have them correct the servers session management settings.
