UPS Shipping eCart not matching UPS.com

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this. We have an eCart setup using UPS shipping. The amount that is calculated is always less than what the "Calculate Time and Cost" is when the client logs into their UPS account and tests the same item and address(s).

I have also been able to reproduce the problem not being logged into UPS.

We noticed that at UPS's site, they do add an additional Fuel Charge. Is this (Fuel Charge) included in the calculations in the eCart calculations or are we suppose to add this separately?

I can provide more information but wanted to throw this out there just in case it was an obvious oversight on my part.

Thanks,
TroyD

OK. After submitting this, I came across this thread showthread.php?t=27883&referrerid=2840

Thanks chuck429411 for the solution.

But can't this be done dynamically? Or does it have to be one or the other?

it could be done dynamically by saving a session variable as either 1 0r 0 and using session variable in that line:

$UPS_XML .= "<PostalCode>".$UPS_Parameters["ShiptoZip"]."</PostalCode><CountryCode>".$UPS_Parameters["ShiptoCountry"]."</CountryCode><ResidentialAddressIndicator>".$_SESSION['addressType']."</ResidentialAddressIndicator></Address></ShipTo><Service><Code>".$UPS_Parameters["CarrierCode"]."</Code></Service>";

Thanks so much Jason. I'll give this a try.
But just to be clear, this would be by way of a radio button or checkbox that the user selected, then a post to the session would set the address type. Am I understanding this correctly?

As apposed to UPS recognizing it as a residence or commercial address automatically while calculating the shipping?

Thanks,
TroyD
