Ecart Testing

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before. I am developing a testing shopping website and just on the stage of adding the e-cart. My question is that the e-cart system requires a working paypal account however is it possible to test the e-cart on a testing server such as xampp?

Many Thanks

Yes, you can use XAMPP for testing, but you will need to enable cURL:
showpost.php?p=131075&postcount=2

one thing that wont work though is sending emails.

Thanks for replying, Would I need to setup a paypal account to test the e-cart on the xampp or is there a way to bypass the payment to test the e-cart of my shopping website.

Thanks

you will need a paypal account if you select to use paypal as the payment gateway when running the checkout wizard, or you can select to use no gateway in the checkout wizard.

If I use no gateway in the checkout wizard would that bypass the payment? I am developing a testing shopping website and it's being tested on xampp. Thanks

using no gateway in the wizard would not pass the transaction to a gateway.
