Data Assist created pages - use and update

Data Assist created pages - use and update

Help.
I'm confused. I have a data base and have created the detail, insert, update, results and search pages which work. But I have two main questions:
1. How do I integrate the pages into my newly designed sitesculptor designed website? Just don't see what to do with the php code.
2. How do I make changes tothe pages? Can't find how to get back into them.

Just saw a note about having a .php template. I didn't have one originally. Just created one but didn't see the choice to use it. Saw that info in the FAQs.

THere are a few ways to go:
1) You can apply the template to the pages after the wizard has created them. Go to Modify -> Templates -> Apply Template to Page

2) You can convert the template to a framework builder theme, then apply the themes to the Data Assist page. See the video tutorial for Themes on pour you tube channel:

Data Assist created pages

Just a question: Most of the documentation for Data Assist is old stuff. Is there an updated source?

Data Assist

I tried the modify template but it didn't seem to work. Will try it again. I'm not sure how the pages work with the template with the preload php code.

And still looking for how to modify an existing data assist page.

I wasn't suggesting to modify the template.

I was suggesting to apply the template to the pages. open one of the data assist pages, then go to Modify -> Templates -> Apply Template to page and select your template to apply it to the page.

or you could convert the template to a theme, then apply the theme to the page.

What kind of modification are you looking to make to the pages? use Dreamweaver to make any design modifications to the pages, the same as any other page. if you want to change the columns that are used for the insert and update pages, you would need to modify the server behaviors. add or remove any form elements you may need, then open the server behaviors tab (Window -> Server Behaviors) and double click the Insert or Update record behaviors

Thanks. I see how to update the pages with Dreamweaver.
And was able to apply the template. Just had to deal with the Body and Header questions that come up. I was able to answer them so the pages got set up correctly.
Now I'm on to see how I use Data Assist and other Data Bridge extensions to build some data base driven pages for our North American Lily Society web site. We have a large number of photos and other lily information which is now just there for people to browse through, a task most people tire of quickly. You may expect me to be seeking some tech support in the the next few weeks as I wander thru that.
Thanks again.
