Adding or Replacing Live Edit points on home page

I somehow erased or deleted the Live Edit icon from the home page (header area - which seems to have been removed from the Content menu. How do I add a Live Icon to edit this area and have it display? I am adding a flash file which worked fine before as content and it appeared correctly.

I uploaded the index.dwt.php file in hopes of having the Live Edit reappear. I guess I'm not familar enough with you file system to know where the content actually resides.

The site is index.php (is is not live to the public yet)

I am also having trouble with the pull down for the sub-categories - there is a space between the main pulldown and the sub-categories that is too big to cross easily so the pull down goes away. I'm assumming it's a CSS adjustment.
