Access Group & PostgreSQL
Hi.
1. Can access group settings be pulled from the database, similar to the USER ID?
2. Does WA work with PostgreSQL?
Thanks.

The users access group that is stored in the users table can be stored in a session variable by the Login Behavior.
There is a tutorial for user level authentication in the Archived Documentation section of the security assist support page, it was written for security assist 1, but the concept is still the same in sercurity assist 2.
2) No, neither Dreamweaver or Security Assist will not work with a PostgreSQL database
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the clarification on how user access group permissions work.
Regarding compatibility with PostgreSQL, I've read a few posts that indicate that either you can get Dreamweaver to work with PostgreSQL (not sure if PHP will work) or that indicate that the newer versions of Dreamweaver are compatible.
Is there any way you could double check if there's a work around for this issue with WA?
Finally, do you have a list of software developers who are certified or recommended for your products? It'd be great if you could get a few of those developers to offer their services on oDesk.com. We use that platform for all of our external development needs.
Thanks again for your help.
No, dreamweaver does not offer a way to connect to a PostgreSQL database with PHP PAges, it only offers a mysql connection.
