Script Owner Permissions

I have created a custom theme for powerstore, and installed the powerstore on the server. I have dsicovered that the install (script) permissions are different from my ftp permissions, which does not allow me to upload, change or edit any folders or files. For example i can not upload my new theme folder to the "Themes" Directory. Is this new as it seems i didn't encounter this on the previous version.

My provider has informed me that this is a security method. (Which i understand), but how am I supposed to install my new custom theme...

Any ideas?

using an FTP Program you should be able to access the themes folder and upload files into that folder.

If not you will need to use an FTP program to modify the permissions of the themes folder to allow you to upload.

Yes, I can normally set the permissions as needed, however, during the install, the owner/group on specific folders is set to script permissions only (done by the auto install), so using ftp ect will not work, you get an access denied. Access to these folders is only granted to the script which created them.

using FTP or the hosts control panel, you should be able to change the permissions on any folder in your site.

you host should have a way for you to modify the permissions on the files and folders created by the installer.
