Is there an easier way to generate a Google Map?

Is there an easier way to generate a Google Map?

I used to quickly generate an API key when I created a new Google map. Now when I try to obtain a Google Maps API, I'm confronted with an incomprehensible maze of articles, control panels, notices, etc. on the Google website. All I want to do is generate a simple Google map from a single API key like I used to be able to do. I'm not a developer and I don't have the time or inclination to wade through all this stuff. That's why I got Google Pro Maps in the first place. Is there an easy way to put a simple Google map on a client website like I used to be able to do?

the current version of Pro Maps for Google works with version 3 of the Google Maps API & doesn't require the API key.

From the wizard, just click on the 'next' button and go to step 2

Or if you are still using the Stand alone version of pro Maps for google, you will need to generate an API key from the API Console:
console

Once logged into your google account, On the Right hand side go to API Access to get an API Key.

You will also need to go to the Services section and turn on the Google Maps API v2 service.
