ecart checkout with LinkPoint API First Data Global Gateway

Hi there,

I am using checkout wizard connecting to LinkPoint API of First Data Global Gateway.

Here is a list of my questions.

1. Is the LinkPoint API of First Data Global Gateway compatable with ecart (WebAssist)?

If yes,

2. When I click submit on confirm.asp page, it went to checkout_failure.asp. It says transaction is not completed. I would like to know how to display response code. What are those variables?

3. below are linkpointapi values I put on the development server and I want to test with the live server. It works when I use with API I downloaded from First Data Global Gateway. I would like to know if this is correct when using with ecart.

LinkPointAPI_required_name(nextIndex) = "merchantinfo->configfile"
LinkPointAPI_required_value(nextIndex) = "1001211653"

LinkPointAPI_required_name(nextIndex) = "orderoptions->ordertype"
LinkPointAPI_required_value(nextIndex) = "SALE"

LinkPointAPI_required_name(nextIndex) = "orderoptions->result"
LinkPointAPI_required_value(nextIndex) = "LIVE"

LinkPointAPI_required_name(nextIndex) = "merchantinfo->keyfile"
LinkPointAPI_required_value(nextIndex) = "C:\L Drive\OHOH\1001344445.pem"

LinkPointAPI_required_name(nextIndex) = "merchantinfo->host"
LinkPointAPI_required_value(nextIndex) = "secure.linkpt.net"

LinkPointAPI_required_name(nextIndex) = "merchantinfo->port"
LinkPointAPI_required_value(nextIndex) = "1129"

Please let me know what I have to do to be able to integrate ecart with the gateway.

Thank you

Pob

1) eCart 4.5.0 has been updated for compatibility with the LinkPoint API of First Data Global Gateway

2) Se e the "Debugging eCart Transaction Failed issues" Tutorial in the How To section of the eCart Support page
ecart/

3) That information appears to be correct, the response bindings will give us an idea of what the problem is.

ecart checkout with LinkPoint API First Data Global Gateway

Hi Jason Byrnes,

Thank you very much

I went to How to => Debugging eCart Transaction Failed issues (PDF) which I been through "How to" section so many times yesterday and could not find the debugging topic. Probably I was too nervous. Anyway, 2 problems in my case,

First the .PEM file is not in the right location. I put in the root so I fixed it by the code below

cStr(Server.MapPath("1001xxxxxx.pem"))

Second, when I use API of First Data Global Gateway, year card is four digits while ecart uses only 2 digits.

Thank you again

Pob

in the confirm file, you have specified that the PEM file is located at:
1223064.pem

I geta 404 page not found error at that address.

pem file

Is the .pem file suppose to be in the root or ?? What is suppose to display? What may cause this? I can see the file on the server.

Jason ByrnesWebAssist

where on the server do you see it?

on the conform page, you need to enter the correct path to get to the .pem file, currently you have hard coded the path to look at the root of the website, you need to modify that path so that the page looks for it at the proper location.
