Repeating data from recordset in each email

Hi there

I am setting up a facility to email customers in a database. Each customer has a number of records relating to them which I want to show in their email.

I know how to send to recipients from the recordset but how do I create a recordset in the email template which is filtered by the current email recipient so I can then list all their related data?

I'm sure it's straight forward and have looked through this forum but I can't find the method.

Many thanks in anticipation

Jon

using a template for the email, in order to refer to column from the recordset that drives the to address, add the following code at line 1 of the email template file:

php:
<?php

global $RecipArray;
global
$RecipIndex;
?>

you will need to create another recordset that looks up data from the relating table using the id from the users table to filter the relating column, for example, if the ID column of the main table is "ID" set the filtering of the recordset to Server Variable and enter the following:

php:
$RecipArray[$RecipIndex][0]["ID"]

then use the bindings panel to add the recordset data to the message, and add repeat region.
