Linkpoint terminal Type setting?

Hi ... I'm using Linkpoint and ecart 5 ... we're having issues with SOME transactions not showing ... they do go thru and are in my orders table but there's no record at Linpoint or at the bank ... Linkpoint suggested we change port 1129 to bidirectional which we did ... my question is what should the setting for terminal type be? the default in ecart is unspecified ... could this possibly be the issue? Should I set it to Remote? have you come across this issue before?

Thanks
