SELECT tournaments.CategoryID, tournaments.TournamentID, tournaments.TournamentDate, tournaments.TournamentDeadline, tournaments.TournamentName, tournaments.TournamentDisplayStart, tournaments.TournamentDisplayEnd, tournaments.TournamentDisplay
FROM tournaments INNER JOIN tournamentcategories ON tournamentcategories.CategoryID = tournaments.CategoryID

I'm trying to JOIN tournamentcategories.CategoryID to tournaments.Category, after many attempts I'm now getting an syntax error, line 34

I looked the code and see this on line 34:

}if (!function_exists("GetSQLValueString")) {

The first } should not be there i guess.

More Info

I hope I can get more than that, not only does the error come up the INNER JOIN is not working CategoryID/CatergoryName is showing as a number not a name.

Jason ByrnesWebAssist

like was mentioned already, line 34:
}if (!function_exists("GetSQLValueString")) {

needs to be changed to:
if (!function_exists("GetSQLValueString")) {

also your SQL Statement does not include the tournamentcategories.CategoryName column.

this needs to be added to the select statement, the change the code that is echoing the category ID:
<?php echo $row_WADAtournaments['CategoryID']; ?>

to use the category name column:
<?php echo $row_WADAtournaments['CategoryName']; ?>

note, my examples use the CatagoryName as the column name, If yours is different, you will need to make the necessary adjustments.
