Activation once again

Activation once again

I feel the need to bring this issue back up again. Please, please, please make it easier to activate extensions.

I know you use the MAC address of the network card for activation, but I often work on this computer on more than 2, so I always activate off the hard wire card.

The latest DW update screwed up my install. It corrupted my configuration folder somehow and some extensions disappeared and others became inactive.

Now you would think the recent consolidation of extensions would help, but with some missing, I have to go through that list of old and new extensions in the downloads page trying to figure out what I am missing (no helping that except perhaps to tag superseded extensions in the download area).

Then I have to wander around trying to figure out how to trigger every extension that is installed to enter my code.

DMX zone has a great extension for managing DMXzone installed extensions which also does what memento does. It asks for your login as well as serial number and activates for you and runs through every unactivated extension on startup. If you've already entered your login, it does not ask for it again, and if it already has your serial number (from a reinstall), you just have to press NEXT and it is done.

This would be a major advancement for WA IMHO.
