Doesnt seem to work

I have a very simple website where I have a section for board members that is restricted. I followed the instructions on security assist and have a single test to allow access; something along the lines of allow if "userLevel =3"

It wont let me through, even though I have a userlevel of 3.....

Please help!

I'll need more details please.

Exactly how was the rule configured?

Can you send a copy of the login page, the restricted page and the webassist/security_assist/helpergrouprules.php file so I can examine the code.

in the 2012 NJPO Board Member rule, you are using a session named "userLevel", but that session is not created by the login page.

the login page creates a session named "SecurityAssist_userLevel", that is the session you should be using in your rule.

thanks

Thanks that was it!

Is there a way to have an email sent to me when someone registers on the site?
I need to be notified so I can change the user level as people register......

add universal email to the registration page. You will need t edit the insert behavior and remove the redirect as well.
