Accurate data are not shown on the Detail page

I use the Data Assist Wizard to create administration pages for my tables. For some fields I select "Display as Menu" on both Update and Insert page. In these menus, I link to other tables. The menu works fine on Insert and Update page. But on the Detail page - it will appear as numbers instead of the name itself. Years ago I used Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox, which had a corresponding wizard for creating dynamic pages. Here, I remember you could choose more options in the wizard. For example, you could get the record's name appears from a different table, instead of its number. Another thing that I miss in the wizard is that you can not link to images directly in the wizard - you have to do this manually afterwards. Your ambition is good to do a simple wizard for users. But as I can see, it's not complete, which means that I as a user will not be more than halfway. Then you have to tap code and read a lot, which was not my wish.

on the details page, you will need to edit the recordset that is created to a joined query in order to return the name from the linked table, then replace the binding that is showing the ID on the page with the binding for the name column.

see the following page for more details on joined queries to return related data from multiple tables:

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. That's what I was afraid of. I and many others - had been very happy if this would have been easier. This ability was in ADDT that I described before. If you had created a new version of ADDT you would have even more customers. I still have the manual in PDF format if you want to watch this.
