Project with Design Extender possible?

Hi there,

I was wondering if it´s possible to use Design Extender for my new project.

Three Templates. The starter page has 5 editing areas. The product pages two and contact and imprint only one.

The navigation can´t be used from the Css Menu Tool because of the design. I realized that it would be possible to import one but I don´t know so much about XML. Is there another possibility? The CCS Menu has already been created.

As I understood it is only possible to create a CMS Website with two different templates wthin the wizzard. Is this right?

So it would be only the solution to integrate Power CMS after editing the complete Website and to istall every region?

Could you give some ideas how to manage such a project with PCMS? Usually I use Websitebaker wich is pretty easy to manage. But I don´t need all those features in this case.

Would be great to hear from you soon.

Greats, Mo

you can use the Power CMS Builder tool of Design extender to add CMS to your pages after they have been created.

view our power CMS demo site here to get an idea of how to work with it;

Hey Jason, thanks for the information. I have two further questions:

1. Usually using a .dwt it isn´t possible to integrate some more code out of the editable regions. If I will use formbuilder for example I´ve got some problems because of that or am I doing something wrong? What is the right workflow?

2. As I told you I already made a navigation. Do you have a film or howto how to integrate it in the CCS-Tool to generate the sites?

The functionallity of your tools is tremendous and it is sometimes a kind of difficult to find the right steps. So sorry for my questions.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Greets, Mo

1) you should not be adding the form to the template, this wont work, the form builder form should be added to the individual page, such as the contact us page.

2) I'm not sure what you are asking here.

do you mean adding the menu to a Site Sculptor design?

or adding it to a CSS Sculptor Layout?

2. I think I have to ask it simpler: when I create a new Site Design (define button and then new) within site sculptor, I can import a .dwt. Then I have to choose a menu and here is the question how i´m able to choose one made of my own.

In the .dwt I already have a menu wich would be overwritten if I choose one of yours.

Site Sculptor cannot generate a site design using a 3rd party menu system

you would need to replace the menu in the site after the site has been created using site sculptor.
