Javascript error adding map in Design Extender 1.06

Hi guys,

Just thought I would let you know that I am getting a Javascript error at the final step of adding a Google Map when I click finish.

The error says it does not have write permissions to create folder?

I saw the same error from someone reporting with Design Extender 1.04, but it was fixed in 1.05. But I am using 1.06 and getting this same error. So there is still an issue.

Using DW CS6.

I am going to try uninstalling Design Extender and then re-installing. Will report back.

Thanks,
Martin

Re-install did not work

Greetings again!

Ok, after having uninstalled and re-installed Design Extender 1.06. I am still getting the same error.

But I am getting an additional error after the Javascript error above.

This error says.

ReferenceError: WA_localURLToFilePath is not defined

Any ideas or assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Martin

I am having the same problem but using Dreamweaver CS5.5 "The javascript folder could not be created. Please verify you have write permissions." How did you fix this?

Hi HTML2112,

My issue turned out to be that I had somehow installed an old version of Design Extender along with Databridge.

So I ensured that both were uninstalled through the extensions manager and then I downloaded them from the Downloads page again and installed Databridge first, then Design Extender next.

Solved the problem!

I hope this helps.

Any further information on this. I have just recently updated Design Extender to 1.1.5 and I am having the same issue with Google Maps

Unable to write folder javascript check permissions

This is on a local machine and never had this issue before with any other versions of Google Maps.

Hi Jason
You can ignore the Private Message. Good news on 2 points. With re-installing again Google Maps is now working and the activation got me worried but thats all ok also.
Thanks for the suggestion of putting me in touch with an engineer. Just with reading the other messages I got the impression that re-installing wasn't going to work.
