Access Groups Manager in Data Bridge not working

Access Groups Manager in Data Bridge not working

Hi
I have the new Super suite with the new Data Bridge and use Dreamweaver CS6 and cannot get the Access Groups Manager to work. Using the Access Rules Manager I try to set up a Group Rule using "Criteria: In group" and try in the "Compare to: Select a group name" to set up the group by pressing the "Access Rules.." button. the Access Groups Manager comes up and I can set the rule, press OK and OK again (which closes the Access Rules Manager) but the drop down menu in "Compare to:" does not show the newly created group name.

I tried the Access Groups Manager from the Webassist drop down menu to set up before I use the Access Rules Manager but still cannot get the group name. It seems to disappear into cyperspace...

Any Idea??

Tried it as well. It really does not work. I experience exactly the same problem you described.

This is a problem caused by a bug we have identified in DW CS6 on Mac OS, We will be releasing an update in the next couple of days to address the issue.

Not just o MAC

Hi Jason

It seem its a bug on Windows XP too. I'm running Dreamweaver CS6 on Windows XP. I did not try it on my Windows 7 computer yet.

We have isolated the cause of this issue and we will have it fixed in the next dot release due out some time next week.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Hi Justin

How long is "next week" to you? it is now the end of "sometimes next week" and I'm still waiting to get this bug fixed. I'm running on a schedule and already lost 3 weeks since I posted this thread

Same problem

Windows XP, CS5

I have two folders. I want a Group1 to only see Group1 Folder and Group2 to only see Group2 Folder. I purchased Premium support to help fix this and it got me past the client demonstration. Premium Support took me around the Access Groups and we edited directly into pcms table.

In Dreamweaver the Access Groups Manager doesn't show any groups (it should shouldn't it?).

I get circular references when trying to access through Explorer but it works on Mozilla. I can put security to successful user login but that now lets both Groups see the other folder. I thought I should be able to create a Group in Access Groups Manager or at least reference the same ones coded directly .. but like someone said it goes to cyberspace.

Help?

It is taking longer than expected to regress the issues in data bridge, we are scheduling to release the Data Bridge update early next week.
