Message: 'x' is null or not an object

Hi,

I've started getting the following error on my Pro Maps for Google page which I'm confused about because it wasn't a problem before and I haven't changed anything, setting wise, since.

I've tried running through the setup again but I can't shake off this error. Hoping someone is familiar with it, thanks:

Webpage error details
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Timestamp: Thu, 30 Jul 2009 13:13:58 UTC

Message: 'x' is null or not an object
Line: 1360
Char: 71
Code: 0
URI: main.js

So I basically understand that this is a problem with the main.js file, at line 1360, but not having access to that file, as it's hosted with maps.gstatic.com, I can't do anything about it.

Any ideas?

Regards

Checklist

Sorry, just to provide some background info:

Win XP Pro SP3
DW 8.0.2
Pro Maps for Google 1.0.5

I've just done a reinstallation of the extension and, instead of the "is null or not an object" error I'm now getting:

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E18)
Rowset position cannot be restarted.
/tmsa/DRAFT/google_javascript/wagmp_map_2.asp, line 266

I am picking location, in Pro Maps for Google, using long/lat coordinates fed from a recordset (MSSQL database). The coordinate fields are nvarchar, in my database table, because I couldn't work out how to include a negative for the coordinates. I'm not convinced that's got anything to do with the problem I'm experiencing though.

Line 266 of the wagmp_map_2.asp file is:
<% rsEVENT.MoveFirst() %>

I'll keep searching Google, and will post updates as/when I get any but, in the meantime, if anyone recognises this error I sure would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Nathon

Try using:

<% rsEVENT.Requery() %>

some recordset cursor types don't allow MoveFirst(), but all should allow a requery.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

No map?

Just changed that line and there isn't a map showing anymore:
scottish-music-event.asp?e=935&b=1

Also, whenever I attempt to edit the Pro Map, in DW, it insists on creating a new wagmp ASP file which is tedious because I'm having to run through the setup again.

Appreciate the help, as ever. Thanks Ray.

Nothing updating!

Got it Ray.

It appears that the wagmp_maps.js file isn't updating when I edit the map. It creates another wagmp ASP file, but doens't reference that in the wagmp_maps.js file so I had a wagmp_map_2.asp file, but the wagmp_maps.js was this:

window.onunload = function() {
GUnload();
}

/*wagmp_onload*/
if(window.wagmp_map_1) wagmp_map_1();
if(window.wagmp_map_4) wagmp_map_4();

I've no idea why it wouldn't be updating properly but, as I've got it working, I don't want to try it and see if it does it again!

Thanks Ray.
