Your [bug] key hangs

Hi ophotografo

This has been posted here:

showthread.php?t=26323

Sorry, to mention that in the title, but your way to complain doesn't help anybody in this forum. Also, you are always talking about the same issues.
I'm really reading many of the forum posts to find solutions to possible problems. And I know, the guys at WA, especially Ray and Jason, are working hard to provide great support and products.
I'm sure Data Bridge and Design Extender are going to be killer extensions, once they are (completely) debugged.
There are also many other people (WA users, not staff) around to help you.

To me it seems, that most of your issues aren't really bugs, but problems in reading or understanding the documentation. I can understand that, though, as I'm no native English or American person, too. You are Brazilian, aren't you?

So please be a little more patient and open minded to get your problems fixed. The solution to your problems might help other people in the forum, as well as the WA guys to improve their products...

Last but not least, I have to say, that despite the fact, that we are all paying for working products, and because of that wouldn't have to accept any issues, I'd expect more patience and cooperation from some users in this forum.

There are so many possible combinations of hard- and software, operating systems, dreamweaver versions, 3rd party extensions, that no one could really expect a company like WA to be able to reproduce all scenarios that have come up since the release of DB or DE. Even the big ones like Microsoft or Apple aren't able to provide bug free software on first release...

Have a nice day!

Willi

Hi

I am not sure, if I understood all of the Google translation of your post...

And you are right, that eCart etc. should be simply translateable into different languages. I've made that suggestion to WA already in another post, recently. (showthread.php?t=26239)

UTF-8 definitely works. In German we have to deal with special characters, too (for example: "ä" ä "ß" ß ...).
I'm doing all my databases and websites using UTF-8 with no issues.

So maybe you need assistance here. I don't know if I could help you, but am sure somebody on this forum can.

As for the Dreamweaver startup error, that should be fixed quite soon. WA already announced the update.

I understand your problem with close deadlines of course.
What I did, just in case, I only installed the new extensions for DW CS5 and left the old ones for CS4. So I can switch between the different versions. Somebody (Ray or Jason) mentioned to just add another Windows user account to handle different settings. That's a good idea, too.

I hope you can finish your project in time and get over the trouble you got right now.

Greetings from Munich/Germany

Willi
