Digital File Pro upload not functioning!

Digital File Pro upload not functioning!

I have installed SecurityAssist, and subsequently installed Digital File Pro in order to upload images into a database using PhpMySQL. I have followed the available tutorials as closely as possible (I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 and some of the instructions don't match the available options exactly).

I get absolutely no result. After spending nearly $200 on a set of extensions in order to SAVE TIME, I am increasingly frustrated - and have spent nearly three whole work days on resolving this issue. IMO, it is unreasonable and unfair that the only way to get help with this issue without spending more $$$ is to seek help in a forum and wait/hope for a timely reply.

Does anyone know how to implement Digital File Pro with SecurityAssist, or can anyone point me to a tutorial that will give me the information I need?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn Hines

1) the file field in your form does not have a name attribute:

instead of:

php:
<input type="file" id="User_Update_group_Photo">

it should be:

php:
<input type="file" id="photoUplaod" name="photoUplaod">

the file field will need a name, and it should be a unique name, not the same as is used by the hidden form element

2) the hidden form element should have the initial value set to use the Photo column of the SecurityAssistpcms2users recordset.

instead of:
[php]<input name="User_Update_group_Photo" type="hidden">[php]

it should be:

php:
<input name="User_Update_group_Photo" id="User_Update_group_Photo" type="hidden" value="<?php echo $row_SecurityAssistpcms2users['Photo']; ?>">

make sure the hidden element is not inside the if statement that hides the file field like it is now.

3) In the file upload behavior, set the file field to use the photoUpload field.

If there is still a problem, we will need to add code to troubleshoot.

add the following code at line 1 to turn on error reporting:

php:
<?php

error_reporting
(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

open the bindings panel and expand the WA Uploaded files Global Status group and add the Debug info binding to the page.

add the following code just before the </body> tag:

php:
<?php

echo("SQL: ".$WA_Sql)."<br />");
echo(
"<pre>");
var_dump($_FILES);
echo(
"</pre>");
?>

and post back the results after trying the upload again.

Upload function on Insert page not working

I followed the posts on this thread to trouble shoot but it is still not working. My file field was correct with 'id' and 'name'. The ServerFileName is not getting uploaded into the database but all of the other information from the other form fields is. When I go to update that same record in the update page and upload an image, the upload function works flawless. It is the Insert page that I am having this problem. I followed Jason steps in trouble shooting but the code:
<?php
echo("SQL: ".$WA_Sql)."<br />");
echo("<pre>");
var_dump($_FILES);
echo("</pre>");
?>

....is showing this error when I load the page in the browser:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `','' or `';'' in C:\wamp\www\bluemist\admin\employees_Insert.php on line 258

I have uploaded my file for review
