New installation order?

New installation order?

Am I the only one who feels that the process of installing extensions has become somewhat Rube Goldbergish? It is approaching a state where it is easier to format the hard drive and start clean, and that is simply too extreme.

Now we have DataBridge, which I am prepared to purchase to go with all the other parts of Super Suite and my other extensions. What will I have to uninstall, uninstall and reinstall, and whatever else one willl have to do?

How anout a new thread that starts with the current situation.

I have another post that questions dual installations of Dreamweaver. I guess that I need to know for both Dreamweaver CS5 and CS6.

well, one of the main ideas behind the consolidation in Design Extender and Data Bridge was to simplify the installation process.

if you own Design Extender and Data Bridge, you can have the entire supper suite installed by installing 3 extensions:

eCart 5
Design Extender
Data Bridge

I realized that as I was waking up a couple of hours ago. Makes sense!

Jason do they need to be installed in that order? I currently have Design Extender and Data Bridge installed but want to install eCart, do i need to uninstall these first? Also will i lose my presets if i do uninstall them?

with eCart 5, yes, you should uninstall the other extensions first. then reinstall after eCart 5 is installed.

to maintain your presets, go to WebAssist -> Preset manager to export them, then import them after installing.
