After download the file could not be opened

After uploading a image file using universal email the image shows on the server and it works when viewed in a browser,

when i make a download server behavior and download the image it says the file could not be opened it may be damage or use a file format that preview doesnt recognize.

It does this for png, jpg and gif, it works correctly for a PDF and it opens it correctly, but does not work with excel files , and im guessing other files too,

Could not open downloaded file attachments

Hi Jason

Is there a public solution to this issue?, as I am having the same problem viewing images that were uploaded using UE4 and sent direct to mailbox as a file attachment.
Thanks.

In the 2 previous instances of this problem is was being caused by corruption in some of the files. Specifically it was a problem with extra blank lines being added to the web assist helper files on upload.

this is normally caused by the FTP program being used to upload the files using the Binary transfer method instead of using the ASCII transfer method.

Same issue

Hi. I am having the same issue but the strange thing is that some pdf files (using extension to download pdf files) download correctly and some don't. Have tested all pdf files locally before uploading and can open sucessfully (not the dowload function but double clicking on them). The same happens with files that are 2,5 MB or 32MB size. I mean it doesn't have to do with file size. Thank you.

PS. It's so strange. I can download correctly pdf files of 25MB and others of 2.5MB crash.
The error I am getting through Acrobat is "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
