Known issue (and solution) with uploading an image in PowerCMS

As discussed in a previous thread, an issue was discovered in PowerCMS 1.0.0 where upon uploading an image using the Upload tab, the image is not uploaded to the correct location on the server.

We are now offering a very simple fix to this issue in the Download Center of our website. Log in and visit downloadcenter.php. Click on PowerCMS; then click on the Known Issues section. Download the zip file and follow the instructions in the readme file.

Thank you to the users who helped us discover this issue!

fix doesn't work for me

I downloaded and replaced the config.php file in the folder specified in the documentation, however, when I upload any images they appear in the images folder under the CMS root rather than the /images folder I have specified in the WA_Globals file.

Is this by design? Do I need to change the images location in the globals file to something like ../../images ?

Image upload

The image upload path is a combination of the $WAGLOBAL_Root_URL and $WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder variables.

If you set $WAGLOBAL_Root_URL to:

and set $WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder to:
$WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder = "images/

the image upload path will be:

to make the image upload path the root of your domain:

you would need to set the $WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder:
$WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder = "../images/

Fix doesnt work

I could not get images to upload either but I saw your thread with the fix. I downloaded the new config file and uploaded it to my server but even though the image uploader gives me a success message, the images are not showing up in the images folder, where i have specified them to go. However, the red "X" in the resulting page shows the path as being the images folder, on the root of my site, which is where I want the images to be. Everything seems to work except the images just are not going up -- or maybe they are but they are going somewhere else
Please help.

Here are my globals setttings

$WAGLOBAL_Root_URL = "" ; //Absolute path to your site folder.
$WAGLOBAL_Site_Name = "Wild Planet Design" ;

$WAGLOBAL_localRoot = "/"; //relative path to your PowerCMS files on your local testing server.
$WAGLOBAL_remoteRoot = "/"; //relative path to your PowerCMS files on your remote server.

//iRite Images upload settings
$WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder = "/images/"; //relative path to your images folder.
$WAGLOBAL_Swf_Folder = "/swf/"; //relative path to your swf folder.

and change
$WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder = "/images/"
$WAGLOBAL_Swf_Folder = "/swf/"

$WAGLOBAL_Images_Folder = "images/"; //relative path to your images folder.
$WAGLOBAL_Swf_Folder = "swf/"
