wa_randompassword.php does not exist

Hi,

I tried using WA SA Generate Random Password (under SA 2.05) and I get the error "Warning: require_once(../webassist/security_assist/wa_randompassword.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ..."

The file indeed, does not exist. It is not created.

Dennis

Hmmm, I'm not able to reproduce the issue.

What version of Dreamweaver are you using and what is your OS?

in the meantime, here is a copy of that file for you to copy into the webassist/security_assist/ folder.

wa_randompassword.php.zip

Jason,

DW CS5.5 under Windows7 64 bit.

Security Assist has been removed and reinstalled a lot lately since it is recommended to be installed last and there has been the activity with new versions of Design Extender & Security Assist.

Just out of curiosity I removed & reinstalleed it again and tried using Generate Random Password, still no file created.

I find WA_RandomPassword.php under WA_SecurityAssist.

Thanks for sending the file.
Dennis.

Having same issue

Yet again another workaround in your system. I'd rather things just work correctly then having to figure them out every time I use them.

Had the same issue

I had the same issue, "wa_randompassword.php" apparently not been created, but I looked into my inetpub folder to find that SecurityAssist had created another webassist folder (different from the one created in the site's root folder), with a security_assist folder inside it and happily "wa_randompassword.php" had been created there. So, I moved the file to the correct location.

By the way, I'm working on Windows 7, Dreamweaver CS4 and DataBridge 1.05

Hope it can help.

We have discovered the cause of the file not being created. It appears to happen if the file you are adding the random password binding to is not in the root of the dreamweaver site. We have this corrected in the next update to Dreamweaver.
