Forgot Password Error Message ~ Failed To Open Stream

I'm getting a strange new error message in my Forgot Password flow. Here are the details ...

1) All "Forgot Passwords" forms and PHP files were created using the Security Assist wizard.

2) The page files were then all "integrated" into the Site's main template file so they would have the same look and feel as all the other pages.

3) The flow from beginning to end, that is, forgot password, enter e-mail address, respond to e-mail message, change password, log in using new password ... works *perfectly* on my localhost testing environment. Perfectly every time, no hiccups, no errors.

4) On my production site, on forgotpassword.php, when I enter the user's e-mail address, I get the following white screen errors ...

Warning: require_once(Mail.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/77/8679077/html/webassist/security_assist/mail_php.php on line 78

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'Mail.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/77/8679077/html/webassist/security_assist/mail_php.php on line 78

Any ideas? Again, let me reiterate, this all works on my localhost.

My site is hosted by GoDaddy and everything else (shopping cart, etc) works fine there.

Thanks,

Bob Hunt

the error suggests that you have set the Email Password behavior to use the Pear Mail Using SMTP email object.

It also looks like you have left the setting for the Path to Pear blank so that the server will use the PHP Defaults setting for the include_path which is set as:

include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php')

but the pear mail package is not being found in that location.

you will need t contact GoDaddy to see if Pear Mail package has been installed on the PHP Server, and to find the correct path to use to the Pear package.

Thanks, Jason, that gave me information to get the problem solved.

-- GoDaddy does indeed support PEAR mail but the setup is not all that straightforward.

-- I called their tech support line and together we found a better solution.

-- Instead of using the PEAR mail option inside SecurityAssist, if your site is hosted by GoDaddy, you can the "regular" mail option and you don't need authentication credentials.

-- GoDaddy has a dedicated server for just this purpose. It's at ...

server: relay-hosting.secureserver.net
port: 22

Note: This only works if your web site is hosted at GoDaddy.

Hope this helps ...
