Cannot connect to database

I have set up new hosting with a new site and a new database. I set up the remote access in Dreamweaver and tested it and it connect perfectly. When I try the add content in Power CMS it says it "Access Denied, there may be a permission problem". Where do I need to look for a solution? I have uploaded a test page and can see in a a browser, but the POwer CMS will not connect to it.

this sounds like an issue with the site definition settings.

In your site definition, make sure that you have a testing server configured properly.

In the dreamweaver site, you can set both a remote and a testing server, it sounds like in your case, that the remote server is doing double duty as both the remote and testing server, set the testing server settings to use the same settings as the remote server, and make sure to enter the correct URL Prefix address.

cannot connect to database

Is there anything anywhere on the webassist site that gives examples of a correctly set up remote access settings and or a correctly set up testing server. I have set them up and they both work as I can upload files, but the settings do not work with PowerCMS. An example is worth an awful lot.

I need assistance with setting up PowerCMS with my remote server. When I try to connect to the remote server I get errors. Testing server works fine but I need to add content to PowerCMS from dreamweaver and let it show on the remote server.

Please assist. Thanks

What are the errors?

for this, you need to use the remote server as the testing server too.

When using the remote server as the testing server, make sure that you enter the Correct webAddress for accessing your site in the URL Prefix setting. depending on your host, you may also need to add the host directory. For example, some hosts have the FTP connection below the WebSpace on the server, you may see public_html or htdocs folder that contains the sites files. if that is the case, you need to enter that folder in the Host Directory setting:
/public_html

It was the url, I removed 'ftp' from the web url and put 'www' before the url and it was able to connect correctly.
