Prevent item from being added more than once

The eCart that I am working on will sell unique items. (One of a kind).
And we have this pretty much ready but an issue has come up.

If you add an item to the cart and then click the "Continue Shopping" button and add the same item again, it allow it by updating the quantity and price.

And if the user clicks the browser "Back" button and then clicks "Add To Cart", again for that same item, it adds it again.

I've set the item's Name as unique and that didn't fix it. What did I do wrong here?

Thanks

in the add to cart button behavior, go to the bindings tab. In the if Item In Cart section, set the actin to ignore.
