PHP Database

Can you import information from one php database to another if the headings are the same?
If so how would you be able to do this or what would be another alternative to get years of information back into the new database with PowerStore2????
Thx
Gloria

You can import information from one mySQL database to another regardless of column names and structure.

PHP Database

What is the best way to import data from one php database to another? I would like to take information from specific columns and place them in the columns of the powerstore to ensure that the powerstore database works with my information.

It depends on your database administrative tool, but usually they have an "backup database" option or "export as SQL", which are basically the same thing.

That will create a script that you can run on your other database to recreate tables and usually has a wizard to allow you to map particular columns. This is a feature of the database administrative tool, so there is no one right way.
