SA in trouble again after Form Builder 2.01 update

Hi

Just upgraded Form Builder to the dot release.

Uninstalled SA 2.04, installed Form Builder

Installed Form Builder and reinstalled SA 2.04

Old error of WA Columntypes.js came up again. Managed to sort that thanks to installation on my second machine.

But now I can't press OK on the Server Validations Dialogue. It does the same as the help button... nothing. The cancel button works though!

Would love for SA issues to be fixed as it appears to have been the problematic child (as far as installation goes) in the WA family for a while now.

Cheers

Even reverting back to Form Builder 2.0 has left my Server Validations useless :-(

I have just noticed that I now have two options for Validation under the Web Assist Server Behaviours menu.

When can we get Security Assist 2.04 sorted out so that these problems can go away. The validation issues and conflicts have been around for what seems like an age.

I am seemingly crippled now for the weekend. Looks like an Dreamweaver reinstall.

OK quick update.

I have removed all my WA extensions this evening and reinstalled them, with SA2.04 being the last on the list.

I've had to replace to manually put WA ColumnTypes.js in the right directory but when I click on OK in the GUI it does nothing. I seem to remember this being the case when SA 2.04 was first released a while back and its probably another file missing from the installation.

Can we get the install fixed so that it installs the actual files required to use the extension without logging a support call?

Cheers

OK - sorry - there are two different WA ColumnTypes files.

I tried the other one and it seems to be working now! Would be good to get the installer fixed though.

Resolved :-)

We will work on getting a Security Assist update out next week so that they will be in sync. Thanks for your patience.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks Ray, even more so for replying on a weekend.

There is another issue that SA 2.04 seems to create. Before SA is installed the client side Show Validation errors works. As soon as SA 2.04 is installed it breaks with the attached error.

Its not a show stopper for me as I don't tend to use Client Side Validation, but I guess you never now when it might come in useful.

Edit : Sorry, I know this isn't strictly a Security Assist problem but I've posted it here as it appears to be the security assist installation that broke it. Cheers

i am not able to reproduce this error if I install CSS Form Builder 2.0.1 first, then install Security Assist 2.0.4 after it.

I have created a support ticket so we can look into this issue further.

Hi Jason,

Sorry I haven't responded to the ticket yet, I have been away from the computer.

Just to add a bit more detail. I have this identical problem on both my iMac and MBP. Are you testing on a MAC machine or Windows? Security Assist is always the last extension installed, even after the FB update I uninstalled SA and FB and then installed the new FB and then SA again afterwards.

It works fine, until SA is installed.

Cheers
Ian
