Google Maps edit not showing content (work around)

Google Maps edit not showing content (work around)

When trying to open the edit maps button in the property inspector the content does not show from existing maps on the page. Also it's sometimes difficult to get the edit button to show when clicking the map in design view. Clicking in and out or selecting the edge of the div sometimes works.

Just in case anyone out there runs into this issue, this is my work around!

My work around is to select one map div in code view. Beginning of div tag to end of div tag.
After doing that the edit button allways shows and the content is listed in the different boxes.

Just my two cents.
Michael

PS... This is using the latest version of Design Extender 1.0.2...Had same issue in previous versions

the problem is the use of the or separator. use the and separator instead.

Thanks for the reply(not sure it's related)

Basically these are brand new pages opened in Dreamweaver with nothing added to the page.(no other code, just the wizard code)

I insert my cursor in between the body tags and add the Google map thru the wizard.
After adding basic content such as addresses etc. I click finish and can see just the basic code added between the body tags.

If i later click the map in design view as per user-guide, nothing shows in the property inspector unless I click around a bit. For example if I click the edge of the map or directions div then the edit button may appear. However if it does, and I click to edit the content there is nothing listed in the address boxes etc.

The only way the content shows is if I go to code view and select the map div created by the wizard. From start of the div to end of the map div only. Basically once I select the first part and start dragging thu the div to highlight the code, and then by the time I get close to the div end then the edit box shows and the content is listed in the wizard.

Hope that makes sense.

Link to page and video of process used

Hi Jason,
I've attached a zip file that should contain the Google maps folder and a link to the working test map. Also there is an index page that has links to the Google map page as well as links to a low and high res video of the process I was using. Certainly overkill but wanted or needed to play with screen recorder software. I am using windows 7 64bit and Dreamweaver 5.5
