I'm seeing similar issues. Nothing is working within the editor box. Text size can't be changed, linked, etc. Opening the link box, sometimes it is behind the editor box, sometimes in front, but I can't close it or use it. If I type in the link and hit a hard return, the link does work but the cancel or ok buttons don't work.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, dumped the .dat file.

The only item that preceded the upgrade to h3 was updating security assist. I have not yet installed the new extender.

This is in Safari and Firefox, not IE9.

Any thoughts, most appreciated. Perhaps a sequence of installing Security assist, then html 3?

More information: I redid the html 3 on a new domain and didn't see these problems. I'll strip down the problematic site and try again.

Very weird. I stripped out all the webassist products from the problem domain, redid the html editor and still seeing the issues.

I added this to the update page:

<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

But it didn't give up an errors.

My troubleshooting steps:

I uninstalled Security Assist, which is the only extension that had been updated before issues began.

I uninstalled HTML Ed 3.

I deleted all WA files/folders from domain with the problem.

I deleted the .dat file.

I reinstalled HTML Ed3.

Redid the Webassist page, redid the HTMLEd3 content area.

No change in Safari, Firefox (Mac) or on IE 9.

What else can I try?

I restarted DW, just as a hail mary, and got an error message. Unable to find file WA_stieToolsVA.htm in the config folder.

Could this be related? If so, how to fix?

thx

I think I have an answer... rename config file. Testing theory now.

Very frustrated. That didn't fix it either.

So why one domain and not another. What could possibly be different? Same server.
