PayPal returning cart empty

Another wierd one. Have PayPal express for checkout. When customer puts item in cart and goes to PayPal. it accepts all credit card information and displays what is purchased correctly, however when you "click" to go back to website, it comes up..."empty cart". If you then proceed to do the same purchase a second time, it comes back correctly as it should. website www.jmanphoto.com. Any clue as to where the problem needs to be addressed? Thanks in advance.

upon returning from paypal, it is dropping the www from the address. the cart contents are stored in a session, the session cookie is domain specific, it's a different session when browsing the site using the www address versus not using www.

you can use an htaccess rule on your site to force all traffic to the www address to prevent this from happening:
force-www-htaccess.html

Thanks, sort of. A little confused where I need to put this htaccess rule. Does it actually go on my web site? Or do I have t make changes at the hosting site?

you add the rule to a file named .htaccess that you upload to the root of your site:
htaccess.html
